Privacy: what this site collects
Cars With Sam is Sam’s independent shopping site. It is not the dealership’s website. This page says, in plain words, what the site collects and what stays on your own device.
When you contact us
Nothing is sent just by filling out the contact form. When you choose to send an inquiry, your name, the phone number or email you entered and your request go to the advisor you picked, Sam or Ryan, so they can reply. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep out spam.
Call, text and email buttons open the app on your phone or computer. The site does not learn whether you completed a call or sent a message.
Vehicle purchases take place through Covert Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Austin. Anything you provide to the dealership during a purchase is handled under the dealership’s own policies.
What stays on your device
Your shopping wishlist is saved in your own browser. It is not sent to us unless you choose to include it in an inquiry. Your most recent search and the vehicles you ticked to compare are kept only for your current browser session.
The driveway and selfie photo previews run in your browser. The photos you choose are not uploaded and are not attached to an inquiry.
What we count
To improve the site, we count searches, contact clicks and accepted inquiries. These counters do not record your name, contact details, message, search wording or a personal identifier. They respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also measures page visits.
If Sam emails you a personal link to this site, that link contains a random code. It lets him see that the link was opened, how many times and when. The code does not contain your name.
VINs you look up
When you enter a VIN that is not in our inventory, the site sends that VIN to a lookup service, WindowSticker.org or NHTSA’s VIN decoder, to find the window sticker or specifications. A PDF you choose yourself is read in your browser.
Questions or corrections
